A graduate of Roosevelt High School, Class of 2007, Joi also pursued an entrepreneurial career as a tax advisor. She additionally served Dallas County as a DSO. While her professional life was an important part of who she was, her family says dance remained her true passion and the place where her heart truly came alive.

Joi’s funeral service is scheduled for October 3 at 11 a.m. at Friendship-West Baptist Church. Her family is asking friends, relatives, and members of the community who knew and loved her to keep them in their prayers and consider helping with funeral expenses and support for her son.

The family has identified Zelle as its preferred method of financial assistance and has also provided information through Golden Gate Funeral Home regarding the funeral service.

As Joi’s loved ones prepare to say goodbye, they are holding onto the memories of a woman whose energy, love, and joy made an unforgettable impression.
