Easton Johnson Obituary, Michigan Death – Community Mourns Beloved Young Resident

The Paw Paw, Michigan, community continues to remember Easton Michael Johnson, whose death on September 15, 2023, at the age of 12 left family, friends, classmates and members of the local baseball community mourning a heartbreaking loss.

Easton was born in Kalamazoo on January 5, 2011, and attended Paw Paw Middle School. He was known throughout the travel baseball community as a talented player, competing as a pitcher and third baseman for the BTLA Canes. His love of baseball was an important part of his young life, alongside his interests in the Miami Dolphins and Alabama.

Those who knew Easton remembered his distinctive personality, confidence, humor and the friendships he formed with teammates, coaches, teachers and others around him. His obituary described his natural wit and memorable one-liners, while noting that his personality drew people toward him. He was also affectionately known by names including Big E and EJ.

Easton was deeply loved by his family. He is survived by his parents, Jimmy and Kelsie Johnson, and his brother, Maverick, along with grandparents, great-grandmothers, aunts, uncles and cousins.
