Matt Pawlowski Missing, Jupiter Beach, FL – Coast Guard Searches for Missing Paddleboarder

The U.S. Coast Guard is continuing its search for Matt Pawlowski, a 48-year-old paddleboarder who went missing off Jupiter Beach, Florida, on Monday, September 14, 2026.

According to the Coast Guard, Pawlowski was last seen at approximately 9 a.m. heading east aboard a 14-foot lime green and yellow paddleboard about four miles off Jupiter Beach. He was reportedly wearing a white hat, orange shirt and gray shorts at the time.

Search crews continued operations overnight and into Tuesday, using both aircraft and surface vessels. Officials said the search is being guided by Pawlowski’s last-known location, drift patterns and possible routes.

Multiple agencies are assisting with the operation. Participating units include Coast Guard Air Station Miami, Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater, Station Lake Worth Inlet, Station Fort Pierce and the Coast Guard Cutter William Flores, along with several local law enforcement agencies.

Pawlowski was identified publicly by the Coast Guard as the missing paddleboarder. According to information reported by WPBF 25 News, sources also confirmed that he serves as Vice President at NextEra Energy in Juno Beach. NextEra Energy is the parent company of Florida Power & Light.

The ongoing search has prompted concern among family, colleagues and members of the South Florida community as crews continue working to locate him.
