Niky Lowe Obituary, Brampton, ON Death – Lacrosse Community Mourns Beloved Teammate

The Brampton lacrosse community is mourning the loss of Niky Lowe, a beloved member of the Jr. Bandits family whose life was deeply connected to the sport he loved. Niky passed away peacefully on September 10, 2026, surrounded by his family and friends.

Niky wore No. 39 in net and left a lasting impression on his teammates, coaches, friends and everyone who had the opportunity to know him. For Niky, lacrosse was much more than a sport. His heart belonged to the game, and the sport gave him lasting friendships, meaningful memories and a strong sense of community.

Whenever he could, Niky surrounded himself with the people and the sport he loved. Even during the most challenging parts of his journey, lacrosse remained an important part of his life and continued to bring him joy.

His passing has left the Lowe family facing the heartbreaking loss of a son, brother, teammate, friend and loved one. The Brampton Excelsior family and greater lacrosse community are coming together to support the family as they navigate this difficult time.

A fundraising effort is being organized to help ease some of the financial burden associated with funeral and memorial arrangements. The support is intended to give the Lowe family time and space to grieve, remember Niky and be together.

Those unable to contribute financially are encouraged to support the family in other meaningful ways, including sharing the message, keeping the Lowe family in their thoughts or sharing a special memory of Niky.
