Patrick Duffy Obituary, Chicago, IL Death – Family Mourns Beloved Father and Grandpa

Patrick Duffy, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, husband and friend, has passed away, leaving his family and community mourning a deeply loved man. A native of Letterkenny, County Donegal, Ireland, Patrick built a life centered on family, service and lasting relationships.

Patrick was the devoted husband of Noreen, née Loftus, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage. He was a loving father to Erin (Brandon) DuCray, Tara (Kevin) Ross, Aishling (Sean) Reilly, Noeleen (Eugene) Doogan, Colleen (John) Szorc and Patrick (Lenka) Duffy, while also carrying the memory of his late son, baby Michael.

He was a proud grandfather to Hailey, Conner (Shannon), Colin (Janae), Olivia, Katie (David), Kiley, Molly, Danny, Mickey (fiancée Baillie), Maeve, Liam, the late baby Cathal, Aidan (fiancée Nyssa), Sinéad, Owen, Rónán, Sean, Sofia and Patrick. His family continued to grow through his great-grandchildren Jack, Tyler, Madi and Oisín, who brought him additional joy and pride.

Patrick was the beloved brother of the late John, Michael, Bernie, Hannah, Joe and Kathleen, as well as Rev. Hugh and Marie. He was also a cherished brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many.

Beyond his family, Patrick was a longtime member of Carpenters Union Local 62 and a proud U.S. Army veteran. His dedication to his work, military service and family formed important parts of his life and legacy.

Family and friends will gather for visitation on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Curley Funeral Home, 6116 W. 111th St., Chicago Ridge, Illinois. Funeral prayers will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m., followed by an 11:30 a.m. Mass at Most Holy Redeemer Church in Evergreen Park. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Patrick will be deeply missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and the many friends whose lives he touched.
